How to dehumidify enclosed switchgear in substations?

In spring and summer, there is a lot of rainy weather, and the air is relatively humid. Many areas are relatively humid, and the humid environment poses a great threat to the safe and stable operation of indoor enclosed high-voltage switchgear. So how to dehumidify the enclosed switchgear?

The conventional methods include: 1) using an electric heater, 2) using a moisture repellent, and 3) sealing with adhesive. These methods can solve problems such as moisture and condensation inside the cabinet in a short period of time, but cannot cure the problem of moisture inside the cabinet. Because:

1) Using an electric heater to heat the inside of the equipment to solve condensation, but this method cannot fundamentally eliminate condensation because it only increases the degree of unsaturation of water vapor in the air and does not exhaust the water vapor inside the cabinet.

2) Using a moisture repellent and hanging silicone bags or other absorbent materials inside the cabinet, however, in reality, due to its limited water absorption effect and difficulty in draining the absorbed water, the effect is often not significant, resulting in increased maintenance workload.

3) Sealing with adhesive can only reduce the entry of water vapor and cannot prevent the entry of humid air.

These methods can solve the problems of moisture and condensation inside the cabinet in a short period of time, but they cannot cure the problem of moisture and condensation inside the cabinet.

To achieve a long-term and effective solution for the moisture inside the cabinet, SPR-CN-S1 intelligent dehumidifier can be installed in a closed switchgear. It has a small volume and can discharge the moisture inside the cabinet through a hose. And it can also dehumidify at low temperatures. Realize automation, and when the humidity inside the cabinet exceeds the standard, it will automatically work.
